Habakkuk Academy (“we”) runs this Occupational Health and Safety course. We process personal information in line with South Africa’s Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

What we collect

• Your name and email address, to create your account and issue your certificate.
• Your course progress and answers, so you can resume and so we can confirm completion.
• Payment references and amounts from Paystack. We never receive or store your card details.
• Questions you send to the Safety Coach, which are passed to our AI provider (OpenAI) to generate an answer.

Certificate verification

When a certificate is issued, its ID, your name, the course title, the completion date and its status can be viewed by anyone who has the certificate ID or scans its QR code. This lets employers confirm it is genuine. Your email address is never shown.

Who we share with

Supabase (hosting our database and accounts), Paystack (payments), OpenAI (Safety Coach answers) and Vercel (website hosting). We do not sell your information.

Your rights

You may ask to access, correct or delete your information by emailing us at habakkukweb@outlook.com. Issued certificates are kept so that they can continue to be verified; on request we can revoke a certificate and remove your details.
